Studio Policies

EM’s Dance Center is a positive family atmosphere and a welcoming community. Dancers & families will be respectful towards one another. Backstabbing, cattiness, bullying, etc will not be tolerated. Anyone who sees or experiences inappropriate behavior on the part of another dancer, parent or staff member should make the owner aware of the incident immediately. Depending on the severity of the issue, EM’s Dance Center holds the right to resolve the issue in any way that they see appropriate which could result in the offending party being asked to leave the studio altogether.

All those who register must agree to all policies upon enrollment. Any dancer who does not have all the policies reviewed and agreed to by their grown up prior to their first class cannot dance.

If warm up or too much of class is missed due to lateness, dancer may be asked to sit out in order to avoid any injury from dancing without proper warm up.

Dancers, siblings, family members will be respectful of the property of others, including the studio. Should anyone eat, play, etc at the studio, they must pick up/clean up after themselves.

Should a dancer be ill, they are able to request to attend class virtually. We will set up a Zoom link for the dancer to attend. Should a dancer not be able to attend a Zoom class, they are free to make up in class of the same or lower age level. Please contact the studio to set up a make up day and time. As make up classes are available, no refunds will be issued at any time.

There is one snow day built in for each class. If any additional occur, make up classes will be offered. EM’s Dance Center will follow KUSD’s closures due to weather. Should the studio close, emails will be sent out and posts will be placed on social media.

Classes are prorated.

Dancers must be appropriately attired each class in order to participate. Just as any sport, there is proper “equipment” that each dancer should have, especially shoes. Please see our attire page for guidance.
