EM’s Dance Center Policies

***Starting March 14, 2022 masks will be optional***

EM’s Dance Center is a family and a community. Dancers & families will be respectful towards one another. Backstabbing, cattiness, bullying, etc will not be tolerated. Anyone who sees or experiences inappropriate behavior on the part of another dancer, parent or staff member should make the owner aware of the incident immediately. Depending on the severity of the issue, EM’s Dance Center holds the right to resolve the issue in any way that they see appropriate which could result in being asked to leave the studio altogether.

Please notify us if a dancer is not able to make it to class either by contacting us or through the parent portal.

If warm up or too much of class is missed due to lateness, dancer may be asked to sit out in order to avoid any injury from dancing without proper warm up.

Tiny Tots & Kinder Ballet/Tap: Hair should be securely out of the face. Leotard, skirt and pink tights are recommended. Both Tiny Tots and Kinder classes will need pink ballet shoes and our Kinder dancers will need black tap shoes. Please ask for more information.

Ladies: Hair will be worn secure and out of face. Any color leotard, tights (during COVID there will be no changing allowed so tan tights are fine for everything) and appropriate shoes for the genre (booty shorts, ballet skirts, capris, leggings or jazz/yoga pants are all acceptable to wear over a leotard)

Gentlemen: Sport shorts, jazz/yoga pants, workout pants, workout shirt are all acceptable.

Shoes: black Oxford tie shoes for tap, tan or black jazz shoes (dependent upon costume) for jazz, ballet shoes or “turners” for ballet/lyrical

Dancers, siblings, family members will be respectful of the property of others, including the studio. Should anyone eat, play, etc at the studio, they must pick up/clean up after themselves.

During the pandemic, we may have to hold virtual classes. If families are not comfortable with in person class, Zoom class is offered upon request.

There is one snow day built in for each class. If any additional occur, make up classes will be offered. EM’s Dance Center will follow KUSD’s closures due to weather.

Classes are prorated.
